Convert2Green turns TGI Friday waste cooking oil into bio-diesel

T.G.I. Friday’s (UK) Limited's waste cooking oil from around 50 restaurants in the UK is going to be turned into carbon savings. UK Sustainable Bio-diesel Alliance to fight the Government's plan to abolish the duty differential for bio-fuels

The 2008 Budget announced that the 20 pence per litre duty differential for bio-fuels for road use would cease from 2010. This means that that bio-diesel will become significantly more expensive than main road (fossil) fuels and therefore not viable commercially.
