European Commission funds 15 offshore wind and carbon capture and storage projects

The European Commission has announced more than Euro1.5 billion/ £1.3 billion of money to support 15 offshore wind and carbon capture & storage (CCS) projects across Europe. Energy consumption trading system for CO2 emissions receives European Commission go-ahead

The UK's proposed energy consumption trading system for CO2 emissions has received the go-ahead from the European Commission. Under EU state aid rules, the Commission has to authorise any national schemes that constitute direct or indirect state aid to companies.
